I was born in Maryland, and my family moved to West Virginia when I was a little girl. I was raised in a county that to this day has no traffic signal or fast food restaurant…in the WHOLE COUNTY! I grew up with herds of deer in the front yard, no visible neighbors, and a billion stars in the sky…so I am an authentic country girl!
I graduated from Concord College (it has since gained University status!) in Athens, WV with a degree in broadcasting and journalism which I’ve put to work at TV stations, newspapers, and radio stations in WV…and now here I am!
I became a mommy later in life (surprise! LOL!) when we were blessed with our son, Nicholas…as a result I may or may not be a tad overprotective. He’s taught me so much about everything in two short years, and while I want time to slow down, I also can’t wait to see what he has in store for us!
I’ve lived most of my life in the mountains, but after my husband, Edward, and I took Nicholas to the beach for the first time, we realized we’d really like to live closer to the ocean (it’s my happy place!)…and when the amazing opportunity arose for us to relocate to the Treasure Coast, we couldn’t resist . (And I couldn’t resist working again for John Anthony…#bestbossever)
Outside of work, I like to spend time at the beach, and searching for the world’s best BBQ pulled pork sandwich. (It’s also my personal mission to find the perfect slice of Key lime pie.) There are so many great events here, and we like to take Nicholas to as many as we can…he’s gotten to experience a lot of “firsts” since we moved here. Bowling is something we do as a family, and as soon as Nicholas learns to swing a club, we’ll be adding golf to our list of family sports.
I’m ecstatic to be working and playing on the Treasure Coast, and look forward to getting to know the area and the people.
